About Us:

We are the family of Jemimah Anama Noonoo.

In honor of the love and respect we feel for Jemimah, we came together one year after her passing in 2015 to carry on her dream of developing a charity that would provide education and resources to the coastal village of Anomabo, Ghana.

Access to healthcare

IS A SIGNIFICANT HURDLE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF ANOMABO.

Anomabo suffers from a high burden of disease, especially malaria, as well as still-high rates of maternal and infant mortality. Problems include low access, quality, and use of family planning and maternal, newborn, and child health services; micro-nutrient deficiencies; low use of interventions to prevent malaria and a lack of effective case management and diagnostics.

Our Mission:

In line with the Gospel’s mandate, The Jemimah Anama Noonoo Foundation exists to empower families in Anomabo, Central Region of Ghana. Through education, access and giving, we strive to obtain economic, social, physical, and spiritual security for the families of Anomabo, thereby encouraging the development of self-sustaining communities throughout Ghana.

Education

We are providing Anomabo's children with educational resources such as books and school supplies. By building a home nearby we can give them access to a library and a computer center.

access

Access to energy, healthcare, clean water and transportation and work opportunities can drastically improve the lives of the community and can empower future generations to thrive.

Giving

Our founder was an educator, sociologist, journalist and more importantly a giving Christian. We are honoring her spirit by giving back directly to the community food, clothing, cleaning supplies and more.

Access to School supplies

WILL HAVE A POWERFUL IMPACT ON THE FAMILIES AND CHILDREN OF ANOMABO.

Last year, we campaigned and donated resources, especially education supplies to the community in our campaign, “Bearing Gifts”. Through this fundraiser we were able to relieve the financial burden of necessary education supplies for families managing financial challenges both before and after the school term begins.

How you can help:

Infrastructural support is our primary goal. To support sustainable development to create a strong connection with the community, we’re building a house near Anomabo that will provides much-needed resources to the village and its families. The best way you can make an impact today is to contribute to our campaigns or to become a partner, sponsor or volunteer.

bearing gifts

We want to first offer our hands in peace and friendship to Anomabo. Through this first offering of gifts, we hope to form bonds with community members and may learn which resources were most sustainable and impactful over time.

volunteer/sponsor

We need volunteers, sponsors and staff members to build awareness for our cause and to help us find opportunities for growth both in the United States and in Ghana. Join our mission to help end poverty in Anomabo.

building a dream

Completing the construction of the house Jemimah started, is integral to the growth of our project. A settlement house will enable us to offer educational, agricultural and healthcare resources directly to the community.
